Tasty Rice Dish

A quick one dish supper. Healthy and delicious.

You wlil need:

  • 1½ Cups of Basmati rice

  • 1 Onion

  • 1 clove Garlic

  • Celery

  • Spring onions

  • Sweet peppers

  • Choice of fresh herbs (Coriander works well)

  • Squeeze of lemon

  • Vegetable or other stock (1 cup should be enough)

  • Seasoning

  • Other suggested ingredients:
  • Mushrooms

  • Crushed Almonds (only add after cooked so they remain crunchy)

  • Meat

  • Sun-dried tomatoes

  • Chilli

  • Bean Sprouts


  1. Cook Basmati rice

  2. Whlie the rice is cooking, start cutting all the vegetables finely etc. and prepare the stock in a cup.

  3. Carameze the onions, then add other cut vegetables according to cooking time (everything should remain crisp) along with the seasoning and lemon juice, then add the stock. Mix well.

  4. The rice should be almost cooked by now and can be drained.
